For the differentiation of gram-negative bacteria on the basis of the use of malonate and the pyruvic acid formation from phenylalanine.
Packaging
Suspend 11 grams of the medium in one liter of distilled water. Mix well. Heat with frequent agitation until completely dissolved. Boil for one minute. Dispense in tubes and sterilize in autoclave at 115C (12 lbs. psi.) for 10 minutes.
